Fundamentals of Nursing Skills I will provide students with an understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary for the process of admitting and discharging patients at all healthcare facilities. This course also allows students to take medical histories, accurately measure vital signs, and ensure appropriate and correct documentation of patient data. Students will also receive guidance on key concepts of infection prevention and control, including the definition of infection, antimicrobial resistance, and foundational management methods to provide safe care. The application of infection prevention and control will be demonstrated through the use of case studies.
