Human Pathology is the study of disease. The courses are designed to provide students with an understanding of the consequences of pathologic processes on the structure and function of the human body. Human Pathology 2 will introduce students to diseases related to the cardiovascular system as well as disorders that occur in the electrical system of the heart and cardiac disorders that can occur congenitally. This will be followed by an introduction to common diseases of the hematological and lymphatic systems of the body and finally, students will be introduced to disease processes that occur throughout the digestive system. Each body system will be introduced with a brief revision of the relevant anatomy and physiology.
