This course will introduce students to community health nursing, health promotion, and disease prevention. Students will develop their understanding of the key concepts of community and population health with a focus on determinants of health There will be an emphasis on the process of community assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on community health needs as well as a focus on understanding of the role of the nurse in the community.
