This course equips students with an understanding of common childhood diseases and disorders. Students will initially be introduced to key concepts that are fundamental to all aspects of nursing care of a child and their families. They will then be provided with the knowledge and skills to provide holistic nursing care by using the nursing process. There will be a focus on providing families with appropriate health education for ongoing care as well as ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
