This course provides students with the opportunity to build on their knowledge, skills and attitudes in gerontology and palliative care. The students will be able to apply their communication skills during patient care for an older adult, using critical thinking and decision-making skills. Students will be provided with an understanding of caring for patients at the end of life. The intention is for students to obtain more confidence in the care of older patients and to promote healthy living with long-term care.
