In this course students will gain a deep understanding of the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors required for roles in teaching and counseling. Students will receive guidance on the educational process and foundations of learning, including determining factors that influence the learning of patients, families, communities, and healthcare professionals that nurses work with. Students will be expected to demonstrate the integration of deep knowledge within a planned health education session. Students will also be introduced to the basic principles and skills of counseling, along with practical considerations in the counseling process.
