This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the nature of community-based first aid. Students are expected to perform a number of activities, including safety, response, assessment, and prioritizing first aid interventions. They will be guided through first aid treatments for several common issues, including trauma and injuries, first aid related to the surrounding environment, and poisoning. This course will also focus on the necessary skills for moving and lifting victims in first aid situations. Finally, students will have the opportunity to practice these skills in a practice room.

Lifespan development examines how we change and grow from birth to death.
